A collection of my work in Public Relations and Communications

I've always had a natural ability to connect people and bring ideas to life. That's what drew me to public relations and communications, a field that lets me combine creativity, strategy and human connection. I love how PR gives me the chance to craft stories that inspire, strengthen brand image and make a real impact.

Public Relations

In a class project, I collaborated with St. James Children's Center to create engaging content and connect with local audiences. I also developed a mock press and media release for Hilton Hotels focused on building positive brand awareness. Through coursework and my internship, I've built a media contact list for the Richmond area to support targeted outreach.

Writing

As the communications intern for VCU's Global Education Office, I write news stories that spotlight global learning programs, events and the people behind them. I also love creative writing, like my personal essay Change: Summer into Winter.

Graphic Design

Throughout my time at VCU, I've gotten to know my way around Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. These are some of my favorite pieces that show my creativity and passion for visual design: a series based on the song April Come She Will, a modified self-portrait, a magazine cover and two ad concepts.

About Me

When I first started college, I knew the kind of life I wanted to build but wasn't sure which career path to take. I've always had a natural ability to connect people and bring ideas to life, and I realized I wanted to turn that into something meaningful. That's what drew me to public relations and communications, a field that allows me to combine creativity, strategy and human connection.

I've also developed a strong interest in event planning. I enjoy seeing the results of my work come to life and the energy that comes from people engaging with something I helped create. Working at Stonehenge Country Club as a server and banquet staff member has strengthened this interest. I've helped with weddings, corporate gatherings and member celebrations, and I especially enjoy being part of event execution. Seeing every detail come together into a memorable experience has shown me how much thoughtful planning matters.

Outside of work, I'm a lifelong learner who's always finding a new creative hobby. I play guitar and piano, explore nature, practice Pilates, cook new recipes and volunteer in my community. I also have a growing love for film and digital photography, which I hope to bring into my communications and brand work.
